Kind News is a children’s magazine published by RedRover. Aimed primarily at elementary school students, the magazine promotes kindness and respect for people and animals. Many articles focus on how to treat animals kindly and understand their needs. It supports social-emotional learning by teaching children to be compassionate and responsible. Issues include fun activities, puzzles, and stories to engage young readers and encourage critical thinking. Kind News is used in schools, libraries, and homes, often as a tool to encourage discussions about kindness and ethics.

NKAWF is bringing Kind News to more Kansas students by sponsoring classrooms for the 2026-27 school year. Teachers interested in being a recipient of a complimentary year of Kind News should fill out the grant application below.
